Wild Ginger is a pan-asian vegan restaurant in Little Italy, with a handful of non-vegan (vegetarian) offers. The food quality is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. Prices are good.
This is one of those relatively few vegetarian restaurants that offers a fairly wide range of meat-replacements, mostly seitan.
If you go, make sure to leave room for desserts - they are amazing.
I’d say this place is safe to go to with non-vegetarian people - the three I went with all highly praised the food.
Incidentally, there’s another restaurant called "Wild Ginger" in another part of Manhattan (www.wildginger-ny.com) - do not confuse the two.
